Hey,everyone! I was just writing to let you know that i changed the title to the blog,but the address will stay the same. I thought about changing the title because we just moved to California in august,2012,and a few people suggested it. So from now on,the title will be Geisheimers in California. And its been great over here so far. I have pretty good grades ( b+'s,a-'s,and a's) and at a previous roar assembly ( mentioned on a                
 previous post ) my class won 3rd in attendance and a trophy to go with it,and on December 1st we're getting a live Christmas tree at a Christmas farm. And thanksgiving,we just had friends over for the afternoon and evening. And now,i will tell you who was the winner of favorite rides at California adventure at Disneyland. It is............ radiator springs racers half roller coaster! We barely got there in time for fast passes,and when it was finally time to ride,it started out as a normal ride. And when it was time to race another car in radiator springs,the car went as fast as a roller coaster around sharp bends and hills. And,we beat the other car! It really would be sad if you don't want to ride it because it. is. awesome!!! Well,time to go,but i will see you on the next post that should come up by Christmas,and on February 2nd,is this blog's birthday! OK.,i guess i will see you later. bye!      

WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON RECENTLY

Hello,everybody! Sorry i couldn't get to you sooner,but,like i said i have been very busy. And now that i have time,let me tell you a little bit about what's going on. Well,in Berlin,we checked in to our hotel,or apartment,and there was a maze that was really close that we walked through every morning before sight-seeing. We also had breakfast at a doughnut shop one morning or two,and there was a lot of stuff to see
in Berlin! We saw the wall,where the wall was, Hitler's bunker,and a really tall gold statue that had tons of bullet-holes from world war two! Then came the day that we had to leave,so we had breakfast at Starbucks, and we saw the bike racers racing a few streets away. And there was the Brandenburg gate with fake army guys posing for pictures,lots of people,and even a KID dressed up as DARTH VADER  posing for PICTURES!!! A kid dressed up as Darth Vader,posing for pictures,and making money is,like,really rare!
Oh,and,we also saw a real concentration camp. See the videos on my mom's post to see how it was.
 Well,that's about it for Berlin. but then summer came where i got to see my grand parents. Unfortunetly,
 it wasn't one of the usual summers because of the drought in Breckenridge,and there was a lot of work to do to the house that we bought in lakeside that ALMOST got blown away by hurricane sandy! Fortunetly,
the house is still there. Then it was time to go to California! Dad picked us up and drove us home,and i had to sleep on molly's daybed. A few weeks later,when we were done unpacking and my bed was built,we started school. They let us come to school 3 days before my birthday at 10:00am to start. My teacher's name is Mr.graham. And my principle's last name is graham,and their not even related. Now i have a bunch
of homework,and we have this thing called AR,which stands for advanced reading,where you read a book and take a quiz about the book and you receive points. If you get 100 points at the end of the year,you get a trophy.Then we have a reward system for the whole school. They have these tickets called roar tickets that say RESPECTFUL OBEDIENT ALWAYS SAFE RESPONSIBLE,and they give them to you if you do one of those. And then you have to put your name and teacher on there,and put them in a bucket in the classroom,and at the monthly roar assembly,they pull out two tickets,read the name on there,and call the person on stage so they can give them a sticker,a button,a pencil the claw,and the super roar claw,that are claw machines that have colors in them,and depending on the color you get,you get a prize. And we have three class reward systems. The first,the teacher divides us into table groups,and if your whole table is good,you get table points. And the table with the most table points at the end of the week gets to be super-groups,who get to get first in line for every thing,even lunch, except for coming in at the beginning of the day.
then there is the paper clip chain,and if the whole class is good,we get paper clips added. And if we get four chains from top to bottom of the whiteboard,we get a party.The last reward system,the teacher gives us 6 smaller tickets which serve as bathroom and drinking passes,and at the end of the week,you exchange however many you have for roar tickets.And,in November 2012,we will have a business fair.
And for those who do not know,i joined the boy scouts of america! My meetings are every other week.
I also joined awana at church. It's like a Wednesday Sunday-school only with tons more kids. And i get to help out as a leader in training in one of the groups for the first 30 minutes before joining my group. Well,that's it for today. See you on the next post no later than Christmas! BYE!

Day Trip from Berlin

Hello!  Guest blogger, Benji's mom, here :)  Benji will write more on the subject, I'm sure, but for now I wanted to post these videos I made about our day spent at the concentration camp in Germany.  It was quite the opportunity to go and walk the grounds, which are now a museum.  To learn more about Sachsenhausen, you can do an internet search with the name as the search term.  It was primarily a camp for Soviet POWs, mainly including people accused of "political" crimes, but Jews were also part of the camp's prisoners.  This was a very somber experience.  Above all, I wanted to be respectful, maintaining dignity for those who suffered, and I hope these videos in no way detract from this goal.    

The video above is with color and narration.  The one below is a little more artsy with an old film style set to music.

go fish:version 2

How's it going? I hope your doing great because i invented a new version of go fish. It's based on the original but modified so here's how it goes:
STUFF THAT YOU NEED: cards suitable for both versions of go fish.
GOAL: get a "book''[ see glossary] of 4 cards of the same shape. [ diamonds,clovers...]
GLOSSARY:
book: see goal explanation
ace: allows you to take a desired shape from any player [ card with A in the middle ]
normal: card with the same number of shapes as the numbers in the corners.
HOW TO PLAY
 a player gives 5 cards to each player.The youngest starts first. He/she asks any player for a shape that matches one of his/her cards. If the player asked does not have the card asked for,he says go fish! So,the ask'er takes a card from the stake.Then it's the other player that asks,and the same process goes on.If the player has the card that the ask'er wants,the ask'er keeps the card.If the player has a joker,it counts as a 1-3 card of any shape. The game ends when there is no more cards in the stake. If a player has run out out of cards,he/she takes 5 more from the stake. If there is no more cards,the game ends.
IMPORTANT! you are not allowed to ask the same shape as the previous player.

day 2 final full day

After breakfast,we went to the sagrada familia cathedral. It was designed by Mr.gaudi to! looked around,and it
was pretty nice. Then we had a snack at Mc Donald's again for a snack.After that,we went to a park where we
saw guella,the lizard. Really famous. After that,we had to walk a whole MILE to get to the  restaurant that dad
chose for lunch. after lunch,we went shopping where i got a Messi 10 official jersey! Then we hit the ice cream shop and had some ice cream. after that,we went shopping a tiny bit more before taking our last metro in Barcelona,[ because we took a taxi to the airport.] back to the apartment/hotel suit. In the morning,dad tried every taxi station on the phone but NONE spoke English! So we had the grand pleasure of walking in the rain to a taxi station. On the way,we saw a taxi with a green light and dad did a signal but instead of slowing down,it
accelerated! We got to to the taxi station,hopped into a taxi,and got to the airport did security,and finally flew out back to Switzerland. Now that where safe at home,we can get ready for our next. see you soon on the blog! 

Barcelona:day 1

hey there! I know that i haven't written in a while,but that doesn't mean that the blog is over! We took off on a "sit wherever you want to sit" plane and we landed in Barcelona inter. airport. We took a taxi to our hotel suite and most of it was good except the only fancy bed that mom and dad got and me and molly got the pull-out bed in the couch. In the morning we went to a special popular market for breakfast and mom took pictures of the food and molly was pinching her nose and says that it's stinky in there. Our breakfast was mostly just chocolate. Then we walked over to a cathedral. Not much that is really special.Then we had a snack at
Mc Donald's.[ can you believe they eat lunch at 2:00 pm and dinner at 10:00PM??!!!] then we took a funicualer,then a cable car,and finally arrived at the castle with world war 2 cannons and we saw the ''liberty of the seas",mom's cruise boat that she sailed in at the carribean! What's it doing in Barcelona? Nice castle there!
after the castle we had lunch,then we saw one of this gaudi guy's "skeleton" house. The whole house had skeleton parts. The top of the roof was like a spine and the balconies where like eyes... after that we went to a cafe and eat some dessert. I don't remember but i do know that it was goood. Then we went back to the suite for the night. Well,see you tomorrow!

last full day in texas

Again,today we basicaly hung around nanny's all day and then we went to pappy's for dinner and then we headed  over to wacth michel's soft ball game. It was really cute because the coaches gently threw the balls and the asistant coach,if the kid had her feet in the wrong place,the coach would pick the up and put them in the right spot. We saw a lot of home runs. Even michele did a home run. well,gotta go! and remember,barcelona is coming up soon plus the black forest. See you soon!

2end day in texas,ninth day in usa

 Today i didn't do much. I went my moms grandma and grandpas house for lunch,then i wachted spongbob square pants then at abut 3pm,there was another show on,and i was bored and tired of waching tv,so dad took me and molly back to pappy's,and i pretty much spent the rest of the day there. Oh,and about the wedding,it was really funny because the ring bearer [mihcals little brother,mihca] fell asleep,so the escorting boy [ my cousin,mihcal] had to do the rings. And i got my exersise for the day from running from molly and mihcals sister michel in a game of chase.The rest of the day was more club planning and playing. See you tommorow!

day 8 in usa,1st day in texas

Hello,from texas! The best thing happend here mom and dad  are gonna buy our new house in the end of may! It's already ours,we just have to pay for it. And that new house is:my favorite house that i talked about in day 5! I didn't know that until we got back from the us but how about i tell you dduring day one okay? Great! Me,molly and dad got there before the other guests because me,molly and mom are technicaly in the brids family since the bride is my moms sister so we got to go in the aeria where the rest of the family and that aeria is reserved for FAMILY ONLY.First time i was in the family private aeria and we got family reserved seats in the four front rows! after that we went to a after party,and then me,molly and my cousin saxon went for a sleep-over at my cousin mihcal andrew's house. Can you believe that in texas i have 10 cousins,plus 2 in ohio with 12 cousins in all?! I know,thats a lot! So,let me tell you about day 2/9 [ 9th day in usa,2 day in texas] ...

day 7 (last day )

Well,today is my last day in California,but the next adventure is going to occur in Texas tomorrow! This morning we just hung around the hotel room and this after-noon we went to a friend of ours and me and i played with a boy named jacob for a while and we went to the beach and me,jacobs sister eva and my sister molly played in the waves and then i went to fly their "broken kite" as they say but it was working fine! [ Let me tell you a secret: i am so expirienced in kites,even though i've only flown one once,i still got to work as good as new!] Oh,and did i mention that this morning we did an unexpected thing? If i haven't,here is the story: we went to look at a house that just came on the market and we thought it was pretty,the bedrooms were small,andw it had a salt water pool. I didn't really like it but mom and dad put an offer on it and i was kinda happy when somebody else bought it. So,after the beach this after-noon,we went back to eva's house to get ready to go. Well, i guess we will see ca this summer...

day 6

This morning we looked at a house that just came on the market. We put an offer on that last house that we looked at and we put our last offer on that house and it was very pretty. After that we went to a town where we had lunch,then mom and molly rode on a mini Ferris wheel, ( not so mini. Just an expression compared to the London eye ) then me and dad had a haircut. After a haircut,we walked to the theaters so me and mom could see the "TITANIC" in 3D! I still can't believe the movie was 3 hours and 15 minutes. I always wanted to see the movie ever since i knew the movie existed and 3d was just a huge bonus and i am very thankful to see the movie. Dad and molly got to see the Lorax. I hope the movie was fun for them. Then we went to dinner,then we went back to the hotel room. That's all for today. See you tomorrow!

day 5

Today was another break day and we had breakfast first then at 9:30,dad signed a couple of stuff to put his offers after that me and molly(who was already better since Monday) went swimming till lunch. After lunch,we just hung around until dinner. For dinner i had some home made white macaroni. molly had regular pasta and i have no idea what mom and dad had but i bet it was good. And i bet tomorrow will be a good day to. good-buy!

day 4

Today,again,we house hunted all day. But,we put our second and maybe last because now,we are only house hunting if a new one comes on the market that is within our price range. And the house that we put our 2end offer on is my favorite. IF we get that house,after we fix up the Lakeside house,we will put a pool in one of our yards. But we are not sure we will get that house. Later,i learned that the house had a hiking trail close to it that has snakes,and i hate snakes. Well, their's nothing else really cool to tell you guys about so,adios! i'll see you on day 5!

day 3

Happy Easter everyone! For Easter i got a star wars action figure,a book,a Reese's chocolate Easter bunny,some cadbury eggs and a small Lego police set. Today is what i call the break day.You know why? It's because i don't have to go house hunting. We decided to hang around the hotel for a while,then go to a friends house in san Diego for a Easter party. Molly got a little bit sick so we went back to the hotel. I took advantage of my time to what i always wanted to do since we got to the hotel: swim in it's pool.there were mainly a bunch of older teens in the pool but i had a fun time anyway. For the rest of the evening,i had fun. See you tomorrow! 

day 2

Today we house hunted all day,and we put our first offer! It was warm,we had lunch,and we house hunted. The houses were nice,they all had attics,bedrooms... it was really nice. Sorry there's nothing really special stuff or anything to tell you guys about but there will be more on day 3. See you then!

day 1

First we went to target and i bought a video game,and mom loved the dollar spot. Then we went to lunch,then we started house hunting. The houses were beautiful and molly wanted to buy ALL the houses,even the ugly ones! Some houses were the most ugliest i ever saw and molly wanted to buy them! Fortunately, we didn't buy them.Some were the most beautiful i ever saw. At the end of the day,we ate at MC Donald's for dinner. Later we got ready to go to sleep to start a new day...(see day 2 next.)

house hunting

Hello from Los Angeles! Here is one of the spring posts that you have all been waiting for! First to get to the plane we had to get on a train to Zurich airport,then we had to get on a domestic flight to Munich,Germany,then we had to get on a international flight to LA.The international flight was GREAT! It had a tv,airshow,cup holders and great videos! It took 11h and 55 m to get to California. Because of jet lag,i could only sleep tell 2.15 in the morning,and then i rested my eyes for a while. And instead of a hotel ROOM, we got a SUITE! And then we headed to breakfast. After breakfast,we got ready to go house hunting. And this is day 1 of our trip...

summer fun club

Hello,readers. About a month or two ago,with my grand parents and my family,we created a summer fun club. I was the one with the name idea. I got started with a logo as well as all of my cousins in Texas. I scanned my logo as well as my sister's. this spring,after house hunting,i'll go to Texas for some sort of church wedding for my aunt. [ she's already married,just she will be married into the church ] I'll take an opportunity to make more documents with my grandpa including simple,easy to follow,club rules. This summer will be the grand opening of the club. The theme will be the dangerous book for boy's book and i'll print certifications for everybody and you can earn badges. Everybody will earn them at the same time,every year. we will build build a club house to! I called it the summer fun club because first of all,it's in the summer. [ most of the time] Second of all,we all have fun,and third of all,it's a club. pretty cool huh? Lego mindstorms

Hello, everybody! For Christmas,i got a cool Lego mindstorms robot. It can do lot's of cool stuff like transform into other robots,shoot little balls... Fun! There are four different robots. The first one can guard your room by shooting at anything [except the floor] or anybody. it turns nonstop so the trick for the owner to turn it off is to run over to the robot and turn it off in two seconds while it has it's back turned. The second robot is called a robogater. It snaps at anything that comes to close and it backs up,moves forward like a real animal! The third robot can sort different colored balls and shoots them wherever you want them to go. the last robot is called the alpha Rex. The alpha Rex is your own humanoid robot! It walks forward and backwards,turns,talks,grabs things and can see! You can even program it to obey your every command! The Lego minstorms robot is the perfect robot to have! I am working on building the robot's one by one. In a couple of months,maybe in September or October i will have built and used the robot's and will have taken video's and pictures of all of the robot's.[ Don't forget that i have to play with them all for a while] and i don't want you to forget that Berlin,Barcelona and the Black forest adventures coming soon and the adventure about hunting for houses during sometime around Easter. Wow! That is going to be a lot of work for me. See you soon! 

Moving to california

Hello,readers! Last night i learned that we were moving to California this July. My mom put together a little video for my grandparents and us for fun. we are going house hunting during Easter break[the Swiss have a different school schedule] and i get an extra day of since there was some sort of election for something and some sort of really important person in particular that,if he won,the school would give us an extra day off. The person won and we get an extra day off. and we are taking advantage of the extra day off to leave that day to go house hunting. We will be living in the brand new house in the first week of august,and in California we will have a couple of advantages: less than an hour away from Disneyland,[maybe we will get an annual pass for the whole year] not to far away from the beach, closer to the grand canyon,takes less time to get to grandparents's house... There are lots of stuff to do in California. but do not worry. We won't be moving until July. So there will be lot's of adventures on the blog. Don't forget about Berlin,Barcelona and the black forest coming this spring. I hope you can wait until spring but don't forget,there may be more unexpected posts on the blog. stay tuned for more adventures in the blog. good-bye!            

MY COTTAGE IN LAKESIDE,OHIO

Hey readers! More news for y'a! My dad just bought a cottage at Lakeside,Ohio. It's been a while since we had it,i think we bought it in October,2011. My grandpa has his own cottage there,but,my dad wanted one to himself. My grandpa wants to build a garage at his cottage and i think it is taking him four months and he is still working on a permit to build it! [ Lakeside is a special community where you have to have a permit to build stuff. ] I wanted to build a tree house but i don't think we are because of the permit. I'm going for the first time to my cottage at Lakeside,and i'm going to be unpacking the boxes and furniture that we had in storage for almost five years,and the lady who sold us the house left all kinds of books and most of her furniture! So we don't have to unpack or buy a lot of furniture. And i will be having a yard sale with all the books that we don't want and with all the little fragile bears that we don't want from my grandma's collection. [ My grandma died in 2009 and i really don't want to talk about it.] And i am looking forward to visiting my grandparents,the cottage,and the states. Even though maybe my best friend's tree house will be done soon,i really want to visit the states again. Oh,and don't forget about the Berlin and Barcelona even the black forest [ in Germany] adventures coming this spring! See you then!  

THE LIFE IN SWITZERLAND

At first we were living in Atlanta until my dad's job was relocated in Switzerland.I was only 5 years old and my little sister had just learned to walk.I was sad to leave all my friends but I was eager to see what awaited me in the future.When we arrived in Switzerland our house was not ready yet so we lived in one of my dad's friends's basement for two weeks.[lucky for us the basement had some sort of  "apartment" with a kitchen and stuff.] Just when we settled in to the "apartment", I had to start kindergarden six weeks early and then a whole year of kinder garden.So basically, I spent a year and six weeks in kindergarden. And I also had some sort of French teacher from kindergarden to 2nd grade.Years passed,and I got to visit country's like France,Germany and Italy.In 2011,we visited Prague and London!If you ask me, I think I am pretty lucky to travel to and visit Europe.I joined a christian club magazine that teaches you about God's word.
